We’d like to welcome you to Fiction Flurry! First, who are we? Well, the Fiction Flurry blog grew out of the Marysville (Ohio) Writers Group. We are a gathering of writers from every single genre: literary fiction, romance, YA, paranormal, Christian, essayists, self-published and then some! We chose the name because it sounds like a yummy treat! We post on books and writing. If you like to talk literary arts, this is the place for you! After Blog Fest is over, we hope you will come back to visit often.
To celebrate Blog Fest, we are giving away *TEN* great books to *TEN* lucky winners. It is SO EASY to win. Every single BLOG FOLLOWER gets one entry into our contest. If you leave us a comment answering this question, you will get THREE ENTRIES to win.
Here’s the question: what would you like to see discussed here at the Fiction Flurry blog? Do you have an idea for a topic or a posting? Is there a particular genre that you’d like to learn more about?
That’s it – all you have to do is leave us some feedback, and you could win one of these books:
This month some of the blogs are discussing banned books. I think that's always a good topic of discussion.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower of your blog
I follow.
ReplyDeleteI like when blog include content information.
Autumn, September is Banned Book Month, and that is a great idea! It is hard for me to imagine not having the right to read anything that I should choose. Thanks for thinking of that!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be great to have a series of posts, where all contributors would get a bit more personal so we could know you a bit better: tell us about some bookish/reading memories, where do you like to read, any reading-related snacks? etc.
ReplyDeletestella.exlibris (at) gmail (dot) com
Kathy, we REALLY listen to our followers and we try to provide you with content that is both enlightening and inspiring! Both reading and writing are so solitary that is FUN to have a place to share with others! Thank you for following!!
ReplyDeleteStella, since I am the "Peanut M&M Queen" of our group, I L-O-V-E your idea! You have a great suggestion - making us seem more like real people and not just phantoms beyond the monitor. I promise you that we will make this a future series!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Stella, more info about each of you and maybe what projects you're working on? Also, I love Peanut M&M's (another Beth-ism perhaps?)!
ReplyDeleteI just found you so am interested in anything you discuss....love your blog. Hope to win in the blogfest. Thanks!!

Great question for your giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would like to know what influences each of you in your writing and your reading...why do you choose the topics you choose to read about and write about?
I was an english major in college and, as such, have a decent background in classic literature. I'm always interested in comparing classic books by well-known authors to more contemporary fiction...does it seem that the "modern' author was influenced by classic literature and authors and, if so, any one in particular or just a genereal overall influence?
Additionally, I'm interested to see how contemporary authors reflect the current time...morals, values, politics, styles, societal concerns in their books versus how classic authors reflected these same issues in society in their books at the time they wrote.
Thank you for such a generous giveaway!

I really don't get what the big deal is over PR books? But then again, I don't even really care for regular romance, let along, Paranormal. My three favorite genres are Women's Fiction (dramas), Thriller/Suspense, and Chick Lit.....
ReplyDeleteI follow. My idea would be about getting more men and boys to read books. Seriously we need more writers to target young men, my son can barely find books that interest him and I think this is a major problem.
